Etsy Fees 2026 — Calculator
Etsy's fee stack is the most layered of any major marketplace: a listing fee, a transaction fee that also applies to shipping you charge, and a payment processing fee. This calculator breaks each line down so you know your real Etsy payout before you list.
Etsy fee table (US sellers)
| Fee | Amount |
|---|---|
| Listing fee | $0.20 (per listing) |
| Commission | 6.5% of item price + shipping charged |
| Payment processing | 3% + $0.25 |
| Optional: Offsite Ads (15%) | Only if the sale is attributed to an Offsite Ad. Drops to 12% if your shop made $10,000+ in the last 365 days. Etsy Ads (on-site) are budget-based and not modeled. |

Good to know
Buyer may pay sales tax (varies by US state); sales tax is collected from the buyer and remitted by Etsy and is not part of your payout. US transaction and processing fees here are modeled without sales tax.
Listing fee is charged per listing/renewal. Transaction fee applies to the displayed listing price plus shipping and gift wrap charges. Payment processing (Etsy Payments, US bank) applies to the total sale price including shipping and any applicable sales tax; this calculator models pre-tax totals.
Etsy fees — FAQ
What percentage does Etsy take in 2026?
For US sellers: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus any shipping and gift wrap you charge, and a payment processing fee of 3% + $0.25. On a $50 item with $5 shipping that's about $5.68 in total fees — roughly a 10.3% effective rate.
Does Etsy charge its transaction fee on shipping?
Yes. Etsy's transaction fee of 6.5% applies to the price you display plus the amount you charge for shipping and gift wrapping. The payment processing fee (3% + $0.25 for US bank accounts) also applies to the total including shipping.
What are Etsy Offsite Ads?
Optional advertising where Etsy promotes your listing on external networks. You pay 15% of the attributed order only when it directly results in a sale (drops to 12% if your shop made $10,000+ in the last 365 days). Toggle it above to see the impact.
Is the $0.20 Etsy listing fee refundable?
No. The listing fee is charged when you create or renew a listing, whether or not the item sells, and Etsy does not refund it.
Does Etsy charge sales tax on seller fees?
Sales tax is collected from the buyer and remitted by Etsy in most US states — it is not deducted from your payout. This calculator models pre-tax amounts.
